The Wisdom of Mountains contrasts the seemingly unbearable storm of emotions that follow loss, grief and betrayal with the serenity and stillness of mountain landscapes. The band explore new sounds in Wisdom through the blending of complex string arrangements with reverb-laden clean guitars, topped with vocalist Felicity Jayne’s sonorous voice to create ethereal soundscapes not often explored in heavier genres.
lyrics
Titans of the night, templed in sacred light
Ancient ones tell me, how have I come undone?
I want, equanimity
I want, the storm to wash over me
I want, roots grounded in the earth
Give me rebirth
Grant me your your wisdom
Let love wash over me, even if it can’t hold onto me
Flow on endlessly
Give me the wisdom of mountains
Grant me the stillness of mystic peaks
Give me the wisdom of mountains
Bestow the clemency, to calm these swelling seas
We would have sought counsel from the stars
We could have made a home of truth
Now passion’s shattered wreckage
Lays buried in the snow
Were we so wrong to hope that we could love like them?
As if we could break the wind, or conceal the moonlit path
Give me the wisdom of mountains
Grant me the stillness of mystic peaks
Then melt into the sky like clouds
Leaving nothing behind
Leaving nothing behind
Give me the wisdom of mountains

“… And Everything In Between” was a great introduction to the band, and after having listened to it 2975295 times in a relatively short while I could appreciate “Artificial Void” (which is perhaps a bit more intricate?) better. Alice M.

Me encanta este album porque refleja el gran esfuerzo y dedicacion que Daniels ha hecho en su carrera, y se nota lo mucho que le gusta. Las personas no se comprenden al 100% entre realidades, pero la música es un lenguaje indescriptible. Felicidades Dan, te lo has ganado. dxgrid

Very ambient only slightly existing metal influences and so exactly the music I like.
Great vocals despite a bit of unnecessary grunting on one track.
A really good album. Boris Stalf

Every single member of this band is incredibly skilled in their own right, but I love how much they accentuate each other's talents into these masterful tracks. The whole album is excellent. I'm so happy they were finally able to come to my home state and perform.
Incredible band, can't wait to listen to what comes next. quantumquail
